Monday-Friday, 13:45-22:00
1 in 4 Saturdays (07:00-16:00) with a day off in lieu
Pay: £30k+

We're looking for a reliable and detail‑focused QA/QC Technician to join our food manufacturing team. You'll help ensure that our cooked chicken products are safe, consistent, and meet the highest quality standards.
This role involves hands-on work in temperature-controlled environments with raw and cooked products, completing checks, audits, calibrations, and supporting the production team with quality procedures and daily documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Checks & Audits
Complete daily and weekly quality checks and record results accurately.
Report issues or non‑conformances to management.
Conduct internal audits (GMP, Glass & Brittle, etc.).
Carry out production checks such as bag weights, temperatures, product specifications, and CCP monitoring.Paperwork & Labelling
Create and print production labels and maintain correct stock.
Keep production paperwork up to date and audit completed documents.
Assist with daily production plans and documentation.Equipment & Monitoring
Launch and download data from loggers.
Complete daily checks on fridges, scales, probes, gas analysis, ATP, cooker probes and more.
Conduct weekly swabbing and trend results.Samples, Testing & Tracing
Collect samples and complete lab paperwork.
Track and trend lab results.
Support traceability work, audits, and customer complaint investigations.Visitors & Contractors
Escort visitors and contractors when required.
Assist during customer visits and external audits.What We're Looking For
Experience in the food industry is essential - applications without food experience cannot be considered.
Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
Knowledge of BRC or similar accreditation is beneficial.
Great communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
Proactive approach to spotting and solving issues.
Relevant qualifications are helpful but not essential
