Job Overview
We are looking for a full‑stack software developer to join our small but growing development team based in Thornaby. You will be involved in building and maintaining a range of applications used across the business. Beyond the day‑to‑day tasks, this role provides plenty of opportunities for professional growth and hands‑on experience in a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
* Building and maintaining in‑house applications in C#.NET.
* Work on both front‑end and back‑end functionality and interactivity.
* Collaborate with developers to deliver high‑quality solutions.
* Contribute to R&D projects, driving new innovation.
* Willingness to mentor junior developers.
* Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing systems.
* Contribute to code reviews and follow best practices in software development.
* Keep up to date with emerging technologies and bring fresh ideas to the team.
* Design, develop and maintain Web/Desktop applications.
Qualifications
* A full understanding of C#, ASP.NET and SQL with at least 5+ years' experience working within a commercial role.
* Strong problem‑solving, debugging and testing skills.
* Ability to support in‑house legacy desktop systems.
* Design and consume APIs using Entity Framework Core.
* ASP.NET Core MVC & Entity Framework.
* Version control (DevOps or GitLab).
* Document technical processes, decisions and system change requests.
* A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Continuously learn and stay up to date with modern tools, technologies and development practices.
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

* Experience with WPF applications.
* Blazor.

* Experience within a Calibration industry.
