Job Description
Your key duties will include:
3. Support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
4. Fixed asset monitoring and reconciliations
5. Balance Sheet reconciliations
6. Preparation of journals and accruals
7. Year end close-down activities
8. Financial accounts preparation and documentation for audit
9. Working with internal and external auditors
10. Government data returns preparation and submission
11. KPI data calculations
12. Expense claim management
13. VAT return preparation
14. Tax return preparation
15. Taxable expense calculations
16. Maintenance of financial system code lists
17. Monitoring of central email boxes
18. Resolution of queries
19. Continuous improvement of processes
20. Other ad hoc tasks to support the Financial Controller
The Successful Applicant
Candidates will need to have:
21. Qualified to AAT or equivalent eg finance/accounting university degree
22. Minimum of 3 years finance work experience
23. Experience of using a finance system
24. Public Sector finance experience is desirable
25. Understanding of accounting principles
26. Good financial record keeping
27. Experience of reconciling financial data
28. Proficient in using Excel
29. Ability to use spreadsheet skills to analyse and present data
30. Knowledge of budgeting and financial planning
31. Experience of finance system administration and maintenance is desirable
32. Proactive communicator
33. Good organisation and self-management
34. Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
