The Role
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing multiple passive fire protection contracts across London, ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent operational and commercial awareness, capable of managing client relationships while supporting site teams to achieve the highest standards of workmanship and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple passive fire protection contracts across London.
* Oversee projects involving fire stopping, fire door installation and remediation, compartmentation works, cavity barriers and associated fire safety measures.
* Lead and support Site Managers, Supervisors, Operatives and Subcontractors.
* Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with Building Regulations, fire safety legislation and industry best practice.
* Manage project programmes, labour resources and operational performance.
* Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits and compliance reviews.
* Monitor project costs, variations, valuations and profitability.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, housing providers and principal contractors.
* Ensure certification, compliance records and project documentation are completed accurately and on time.
* Promote a positive health and safety culture across all sites.
* Attend client meetings and provide regular operational and commercial updates.
* Support the continued growth and success of Preventr Services Group through exceptional service delivery.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the Passive Fire Protection sector.
* Strong technical knowledge of fire stopping, fire doors and compartmentation works.
* Experience managing multiple projects and site-based teams.
* Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and compliance requirements.
* Excellent commercial awareness and contract management skills.
* Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Right to Work (UK).
* SMSTS or SSSTS.
* IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
Desirable
* Experience working within social housing, local authority, healthcare or commercial environments.
* FIRAS, BM TRADA or equivalent industry accreditation experience.
* First Aid Qualification.
* Fire Door or Fire Stopping Inspection Diplomas.
