Description
To support the MIS function within the college’s Funding and Compliance team in ensuring the College meets the regulatory requirements placed on it by the funding bodies and to ensure the mitigation of data and compliance risk. Supporting with the input and data cleansing of student data/records within college systems with a high level of accuracy and in a timely way. Working with other teams across college to support with ILR and compliance requirements for student data, enrolment and documentation.
The role will focus on working with colleagues to improve the integrity and quality of data in College systems to enable timely and accurate data returns to the DfE. Supporting other teams to improve levels of compliance and to assist in the enrolment processes for WBL, Partnerships and Classroom based delivery.
Assist the wider Funding & Compliance team with monitoring compliance within College processes and in line with funding body requirements, working across all income streams.

Key Responsibilities
* To maintain an up to date knowledge of DfE funding guidance and ILR requirements to ensure compliance with external requirements and provide advice to other staff.
* Maintain good working knowledge of college student record systems (ProSolution).
* To support the cleansing of the ILR file to ensure data is accurate, up to date, free of errors and submitted on time. Ensuring that records are compliant and on the ILR without unnecessary delay so that income is maximised and curriculum colleagues have robust valid and reliable data to manage provision.
* Support with Apprenticeship compliance and enrolment processes.
* Manually input data documents to required deadlines and standards.
* Compliance checking documentation to the required deadlines and standards.
* To support the wider Funding & Compliance team with data checks and assist with corrective action taken to improve the College’s data quality, this will include use of PDSATs, internal compliance audits, etc.
* Support with maintenance of the college’s curriculum planning/course file, following up actions as required with other college teams and support course information/website processes.
* Provide support for cross‑college activities such as enrolments and exam invigilating.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Criteria:
* A minimum of 2 years administration experience, preferably within an education setting.
* Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision.
* Experience of data entry and compliance checks, preferably within a Further Education Sector.
* A pro‑active approach to work and problem solving, and the ability to spot and deal with issues as they occur.
* Ability to deliver accurate data entry with a high level of attention to detail.
* Engaged in Continuing Professional Development.
* High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
* Minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy, or willingness to complete.
* IT knowledge to a high standard.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience of working in Further Education, preferably within an MIS department.
* Knowledge of the Individualised Learner Record (ILR), funding regulations and audit requirements for further education.
* Experience of managing a high volume of data in order to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
* Experience of using a student records system, e.g., ProSolution, EBS, Unit-E etc.
* A sound knowledge of Apprenticeship Funding Guidance and Requirements.
* Experience of supporting internal and external audits.
