Outcomes: How You'll Make an Impact
A successful candidate in this role will achieve the following within the first 12 months:
* Flawless Set-Ups: Independently set and operate our Sliding Head lathes, consistently achieving a 'right first time' rate of over 95%.
* Drive Efficiency: Reduce average set-up times by 15% through proactive process improvements and tooling optimisation.
* Uphold Quality: Maintain a component rejection rate of less than 1% by meticulously following drawings and using our Jenoptik Opticline laser measuring system.
* Take Charge: Effectively manage tooling and material stock for the sliding head section, ensuring 100% availability for all scheduled jobs.
Essential Competencies: Who We're Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:
* Proven Sliding Head Experience: A minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience setting and operating CNC Sliding Head lathes. Experience with Star, Citizen, or Hanwha machines is a significant advantage. (Applications without specific sliding head experience will not be considered).
* Fanuc Control Proficiency: You must be confident and proficient in programming, setting, and operating using Fanuc controls.
