What the role looks like:You’ll be supporting Managers and Client Partners across a well-rounded portfolio of SME clients, combining audit, accounts and advisory work. The role will involve:
* Preparing accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
* Leading audits from planning through to completion
* Preparing corporation tax computations and advising on tax matters
* Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff
* Building trusted relationships with clients and becoming a key point of contact
* Contributing to client advisory work including systems, forecasting and process reviews
* Getting involved in project work and developing your commercial acumen
* Using cloud-based tools and supporting clients with tech-led solutions
What they’re looking for:
* 3-5 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice
* ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist level
* Strong technical knowledge across audit, accounts and tax
* Comfortable reviewing juniors’ work and supporting their development
* Personable, proactive and keen to build strong client relationships
* Tech-savvy and open to using modern tools for internal and client use
* Friendly, can-do attitude with a genuine desire to grow
