Overview
The surgical team delivers specialist‑led care across soft tissue and orthopaedics, collaborating with other disciplines to provide the best possible outcome for all our patients. Our team consists of four specialist surgeons, three surgical residents, three surgical interns, and a dedicated nursing team. We have a varied and challenging soft tissue and orthopaedic caseload, and our own Vets@Night service for inpatient care throughout the night.
Pride Veterinary Referrals is a state‑of‑the‑art multidisciplinary referral hospital, with specialist lead teams in Surgery, Medicine, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia, and an onsite Physiotherapy–Hydrotherapy department. We provide world‑class patient care in an environment that includes 13 consultation rooms, 4 inpatient wards, a dedicated intensive care unit, 5 fully equipped theatres, a 16‑slice CT scanner, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, arthroscopy, fluoroscopy, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic equipment, a BioMedtrix hip kit and standard and locking implant systems. The Pride Veterinary Centre is a referral teaching hospital in collaboration with the University of Nottingham Veterinary School, offering opportunities to support teaching and research interests.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Veterinary Intern, you will gain valuable exposure to a referral or advanced clinical environment, working collaboratively with experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support teams to deliver high‑quality patient and client care.
This role supports your clinical development, builds confidence in managing more complex cases, and deepens your understanding of evidence‑based veterinary medicine. You will actively participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical governance activities while being supported by senior clinicians and mentors.
Qualifications and Skills
* A Veterinary degree and registration with the RCVS, and experience working as part of a clinical veterinary team.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* Clear and confident communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork and a positive, proactive attitude to learning and development.
* An interest in evidence‑based veterinary medicine and clinical best practice.
* Professionalism, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in a busy clinical environment.

Salary
£32,000 – £32,000 a year, plus benefits.
