The Hoxton Surgery is a well-established, high performing NHS practice serving a diverse community of around 9,500 patients. We are a friendly, supportive training practice with a strong multi‑disciplinary team and a passion for delivering excellent, compassionate care.
Role Details
Position: Salaried GP (Part‑time)
* Pay: £12,000 a session
* Contract: Fixed term, 12 month duration
* Working pattern: 4 to 6 sessions per week, part‑time, flexible working

Responsibilities
* Clinical responsibilities
o Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients.
o Conduct face‑to‑face, telephone, and online consultations.
o Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with national and local guidelines.
o Undertake home visits.
o Participate in care planning and health promotion for patients with long‑term conditions.
o Issue prescriptions in accordance with practice and NHS policy.
o Review test results, hospital letters and correspondence promptly.
o Ensure accurate and timely clinical record keeping using EMIS clinical system.
* Quality & Governance
o Contribute to the achievement of QoF, Enhanced Services and other clinical targets.
o Participate in clinical audits, significant event analysis and learning reviews.
o Promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
o Maintain awareness of safeguarding responsibilities for adults and children.
o Adhere to all relevant practice and NHS policies including infection control, confidentiality and information governance.
* Professional Development
o Engage in appraisals and revalidation as required by the GMC and NHS England.
o Maintain continued professional development (CPD) and attend mandatory training sessions.
o Support teaching and mentoring of medical students.
* Teamwork and Collaboration
o Work collaboratively with nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, first‑contact physiotherapists, social prescribers, nurse associates and administrative staff.
o Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions and multi‑disciplinary team (MDT) reviews.
o Support colleagues during absence and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture.
* Leadership and Service Development
o Contribute to the development of new services and innovations in primary care delivery.
o Engage with the local PCN to support integrated care models.
o Provide leadership for specific clinical areas or lead roles as agreed with the Practice Manager and Partners.
Person Specification
* Essential:
o GMC approved and registered.
* Desirable:
o Previous experience of working in a GP surgery.
