Role Description
As an MSc Geotechnical Engineering Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers on diverse projects, contributing to the design and development of geotechnical solutions. This opportunity allows you to gain practical experience while studying for your master's qualification.
Your Responsibilities
1. Contribute to solving technical problems with your team
2. Carry out engineering designs and assessments
3. Prepare design reports and drawings
4. Collaborate with engineers across disciplines
5. Deliver your work to a high standard
6. Attend site visits and client meetings as required
7. Plan and prioritize your workload with support from your line manager
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 (hons) in geoscience, civil engineering, or related disciplines, with relevant subjects in engineering geology or geotechnical engineering
* Solid understanding of engineering and mathematical principles
* Employment in an appropriate role and level within an organization based in England
* GCSE English Language / Literature and Mathematics at grade 4 or above, or equivalent qualifications
* Residency in the UK for at least three years prior to starting the apprenticeship
Educational Details
If accepted, you'll pursue an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Leeds, involving in-person classes, lectures, and seminars. We will support your development, fund your qualification, and assign a mentor for guidance.
Working Conditions and Duration
Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday. Duration: 36 months (Part-Time). Employment start: September 2025.
