Technical Sales Engineer Formwork & Falsework and Temporary Works
Responsibilities
* Hybrid field sales role, predominantly (80%) selling the hire of formwork and falsework and temporary works equipment (20% sale).
* Focus on civil engineering/civil infrastructure projects such as rail, highways, bridges, sewage treatment plants and other concrete rebar projects.
* Predominantly a new business development position, prospecting within a designated territory.
* Work from home or the office, conducting site visits as required (including virtual meetings via Teams).
* Technical role which will involve some project management.
* New business oriented with typical project values from £10,000-£50,000, potentially £1m+.
* Meet with customers and present solutions, typically targeting formwork reinforced concrete sub‑contractors and, on larger projects, main contractors.
* Initial revenue targets of circa £200,000 in year 1, £600,000 in year 2, with potential progression to around £1m once established.
Qualifications & Skills
* Ideally from the construction industry with good technical understanding and construction site experience. Open to civil engineering hire sales experience.
* Will consider a site engineer/technical engineer seeking a hybrid field sales role.
* Specific knowledge of formwork and falsework, groundworks, temporary works, shoring, trenching, piling, propping is not essential.
* Engineering degree would be advantageous; technically capable with the ability to read technical drawings.
* Integrity with good interpersonal and problem solving skills; open minded and willing to learn.
* Negotiation Skills Required;
Remuneration & Benefits
Remuneration: £40,000 - £45,000 Neg. + 3% Commission
Benefits: Car allowance of £500-£600 per month + full comprehensive benefits package
