Are you an experienced Support Worker with a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare? Do you have a gift for passing on your skills to others? Then apply to be a Therapeutic Support Workers at our Children's Home.

Working at our residential children's home in Wingrave, near Aylesbury, you will provide direct support to some amazing children who have complex needs, together with coaching colleagues as you develop your own skills, abilities and experience.

The role of Therapeutic Support Worker provides a continuing professional development pathway, enabling you as a qualified practitioner to deepen your knowledge of the young people you support and develop an understanding of a range of different therapeutic approaches. You will be a key member of the children's home team, and an important link to the Therapy team.

Wee will support you to complete the relevant training pathway and you will be mentored by one of our therapy team.

These roles are full-time (38 hpw) and you will take your turn on a rota which includes days, evenings and weekends.


About you

It is key that you hold or are close to completing a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. You will also be an Intensive Interaction competent practitioner (or will need to complete this before moving to the higher pay rate).

You will will be able to model best practice support for children and young people who have learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that can be of concern.

You'll be someone who has self-confidence and is able to inspire and coach others, contributing to a kind a positive working environment.

Ideally, you will be a driver with your own transport, as Wingrave village is in a rural location with no nearby public transport.
