Our client a leading manufacturing and logistics company are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their team.
The position reports into the Director of Operations and the successful applicant will work closely with our internal sales and purchasing teams.
As the Warehouse Team Lead you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work and maximising
productivity within the warehouse. You will be responsible for the supervision of Warehouse Operatives who will look to you for guidance.
This is a hands-on role in a sometimes-challenging environment where excellent communication skills together with a can-do attitude are required to succeed.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the planning and control of warehouse operations.
* Be the first point of contact for warehouse staff.
* Assist with organising, picking and dispatch of all customer orders.
* Liaise with transport companies to ensure collections and deliveries conform to customer requirements.
* Record all stock movements via the computer system.
* Work with management to ensure service levels are maintained.
* Assist with keeping and maintaining all warehouse documentation.
* Assist with the organisation and implementation of cycle counts.
* Maintain a safe, clean and orderly warehouse.
* To ensure maintenance of warehouse machinery
* To comply with the company's health and safety policies
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
* Ability to lift heavy products up to a maximum weight of 25kg and perform physical tasks throughout the day
* Flexi truck licence (is a distinct advantage but not essential)
