Your Role as a Care Assistant You’ll play a key part in helping clients stay independent, confident, and comfortable in their own homes. Each day may include: Supporting with washing, dressing, and personal care Assisting with medication and daily health needs Preparing meals and helping with light housework Offering companionship, reassurance, and emotional support Encouraging confidence and independence Helping clients enjoy their favourite hobbies, activities, or outings Every visit is at least 1 hour long — meaning you have time to do things properly, with dignity, patience, and warmth.
