Key Requirements We are seeking a delivery-focused IT Project Manager with 58 years of experience managing technical and infrastructure projects in medium-to-large organisations. Candidates must meet the following essential criteria: Degree-level education in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience Project management certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, APMP, or Scrum Master Proven ability to deliver complex IT change programmes (infrastructure/cloud preferred) Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure), Microsoft 365, and database systems Experience using project tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder engagement skills Strong commercial acumen and ability to work with cross-functional teams Eligible and willing to undergo BPSS security clearance Role & Responsibilities This position forms part of a national programme driving the UKs green energy transformation. As a Project Manager, you will report to the Project Delivery Manager and be responsible for managing key IT projects that support digital transformation across the programme. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating multiple workstreams to optimise delivery Managing all aspects of project lifecycle: scope, timelines, risk, cost, quality Working across technical and business teams to define and execute delivery plans Implementing and maintaining robust project governance and reporting Producing key documentation including project plans, status updates, and assurance artefacts Tracking and managing project budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies Communicating regularly with stakeholders, sponsors, and steering groups Supporting finance teams with accurate reporting and cost tracking Ensuring projects deliver clear business value on time and to budget Key Deliverables Robust project planning, tracking, and governance frameworks Accurate and timely stakeholder reporting Effective risk and issue management Successful delivery of project goals in line with organisational strategy Assurance documentation that meets internal and external standards Working Pattern & Travel Role is 90% remote, with site visits to Somerset typically 2 days per month Travel and overnight accommodation support available if residing 1.5 hours from site Why Apply?
