Overview
Position: Behaviour Mentor. Location: South East London. Contract Type: Full-Time. Start Date: ASAP.
Responsibilities
* Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis to improve behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
* Build trusting relationships that foster personal growth and self-esteem
* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to implement behaviour plans and strategies
* Act as a positive role model, promoting respect, responsibility, and reflection
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to the wider pastoral and leadership team
Qualifications
* Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or emotional needs (school, youth work, or similar)
* Strong communication and de-escalation skills
* A calm, compassionate, and consistent approach
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and build rapport
* Resilience, adaptability, and a good sense of humour
