Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Greenkeeper in planning, organising and overseeing the maintenance of golf course grounds, including turfgrass care, irrigation and landscaping.
* Carry out all common greenkeeping tasks.
* Supervise and coordinate the work of greenkeeping staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
* Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards.
* Assist with inventory management for maintenance supplies and equipment.
* Monitor turf health and pest control programs, making recommendations for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in turfgrass management.
Requirements
* Previous experience in golf course maintenance, with supervisory experience preferred.
* Knowledge of turfgrass care and maintenance practices, including irrigation systems and pest control.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
* Ability to operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment.
* Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and holidays as required.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in greenkeeping or turfgrass management preferred.
