Role Overview
As a tutor, you’ll play a key role in every child’s learning journey by delivering lessons that last, building meaningful relationships and driving academic progress.
Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored sessions using the Compass smart learning tool, facilitating learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching.
* Build meaningful relationships with a 16:1 student‑tutor ratio, creating a safe, inspiring environment where children can develop a lifelong love of learning.
* Support members through the national curriculum, 11+ entrance exams and GCSE preparation, celebrating milestones and successes.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Confident leading sessions with small groups, inspiring children to engage, using positive behaviour management strategies, and prioritising their safety and wellbeing.
* Comfortable supporting children aged 4‑16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ and GCSE content.
* Committed to building long‑term relationships, providing consistency and stability.

Location
On‑site in Wolverhampton.
Contract and Hours
Permanent part‑time role. Minimum of 6 hours a week over at least 2 different weekdays.
Shift Times:
* 3:30‑4:00 pm – Tuesday
* 3:30‑4:00 pm – Wednesday
* 3:30‑4:00 pm – Thursday
* 3:30‑4:00 pm – Friday
* Morning/afternoon – Saturday
Not a summer‑only role; we seek dedicated tutors throughout the academic year and beyond.
Pay and Progression
* Under 18: £840
* 18‑20: £10.90
* 21+: £12.75
* Additional 50 p per hour for working inside the M25; training and induction paid.
Base hourly rate increases annually based on hours tutored.
Requirements
Age 16 or over, right to work in the UK. Achieve grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level (or equivalent). Predicted grades acceptable if results within 3 months.
