Kind Regards, Teaching Assistant - SEN Location: Carephilly Salary: £24,570 - £25,935* Type: Full-Time, Permanent About This Role Leader Group is proud to be partnering with a renowned Therapeutic Education Service provider to recruit passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Carephilly. This role will involve mentoring, supporting, and inspiring learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in various educational settings, including the classroom, home tuition, outreach programs, and outdoor activities. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the development of student's academic and personal growth. You will assist in preparing learning materials, contribute to the delivery of learning objectives, and maintain a strong focus on behavioural management. You will also interact with parents/caregivers and provide daily reports on learner's progress and barriers to learning. Key Responsibilities Mentoring and supporting students with SEND in the classroom, through home tuition, outreach, and outdoor activities Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and supporting the delivery of learning objectives Maintaining a strong focus on behavioural management and promoting a positive learning environment Writing daily reports on students' progress and identifying barriers to learning Regular communication with parents/caregivers to update on students' progress Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: A passionate and committed approach to working with students with SEND At least two years of experience working in a SEND environment or similar provision/unit A Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous but not essential Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff Benefits NEST enhanced pension scheme Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Access to a blue light discount card Fully funded training and qualifications for all colleagues Enhanced pay scales based on experience and qualifications Employee benefits scheme including a wellbeing app and various discounts Life assurance If you are passionate about supporting students with SEND and want to make a positive impact in their lives, we would love to hear from you.
