About the Role/team We’re looking for a skilled and customer-focused Multi-Skilled Technician (UPVC/Carpentry) to join our Direct Labour Operation (DLO) team. You’ll carry out repairs and maintenance to windows, doors, and timber fixtures across our homes, delivering a first-fix service wherever possible. You’ll be the face of SettleParadigm in our residents’ homes, so a friendly, respectful approach is just as important as technical expertise. As part of our Property Services team, you’ll receive a fully insured, company-branded hybrid van and fuel card for business use, along with a tablet, mobile phone, PPE, and workwear. Key Responsibilities: Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance on window glazing systems, door systems, and fixtures, including UPVC, aluminium, composite, and wood Take accurate measurements for glazing, windows, and doors, and follow drawings/plans for installation Complete interior and exterior trim repairs to cabinets, doors, floors, and other timber fixtures Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards Deliver a first-fix service where possible, maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer care Represent SettleParadigm professionally in residents’ homes and uphold our customer care standards Use the provided tablet and systems to manage job schedules and updates What We’re Looking For Must haves: Relevant qualifications or certifications, or 5 years’ experience in the trade Strong knowledge of window and door systems across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings Ability to take precise measurements and follow technical drawings Experience with UPVC, aluminium, composite, and timber systems Commitment to health & safety and working to regulatory standards Friendly, respectful approach with a focus on customer satisfaction Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule Full manual driving licence Nice to haves: Experience working in social housing or similar environments Familiarity with mobile working systems and digital job management (using a tablet for job scheduling).
