Head of M&A and Corporate Development (Energy)

Responsibilities
1. Strategic Investment Leadership: Define and drive the company’s investment strategy in alignment with renewable energy goals and global sustainability trends. Oversee the performance and risk profile of existing assets and projects, ensuring optimized returns and strategic alignment.
2. Capital Allocation: Make decisions on capital deployment across markets, technologies (e.g., wind, solar, green hydrogen), and project stages. Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities in emerging and established renewable markets, leveraging regulatory and market trends.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams (development, finance, legal) and external stakeholders (governments, investors, partners) to structure and execute transactions. Lead structuring of project financing, including equity investments, debt facilities, and partnerships with institutional investors or development banks.
4. Governance & Compliance: Ensure investment decisions adhere to corporate governance standards, ESG criteria, and regulatory frameworks. Build and manage a high-performing investment team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsible investing. Assess and mitigate risks across the investment lifecycle—from due diligence to post-investment monitoring and exit strategies.
