GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Burgess Hill. This role is perfect for someone looking to build experience in SEN while making a real impact in the classroom.
Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Burgess Hill
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
About the Role:
You’ll work closely with pupils who need extra help accessing learning—this may include students with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or speech and language needs. You’ll provide consistent, calm support and help pupils feel included, safe, and confident in school.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide general classroom or 1:1 support to students with SEN
* Promote engagement and inclusion through tailored strategies
* Assist with communication, social skills and emotional regulation
* Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning to pupil needs
* Be a reliable, positive presence in the classroom
Job Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with SEN or behavioural needs
* A caring, resilient, and non-judgemental approach
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Eagerness to learn and adapt in a school environment
* Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply)
