Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities
* Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and baristas, ensuring smooth service delivery
* Oversee food preparation and serving processes to maintain quality standards
* Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and customer flow to optimise efficiency
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Lead staff training programmes on service excellence and health & safety protocols
* Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
* Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and presentation
* Monitor cleanliness of the dining area and ensure adherence to organisational policies
* Assist in organising special events or promotions to boost business visibility
Skills
* Proven experience in supervising or managing restaurant or hospitality teams
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety procedures
* Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanour towards guests
* Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous
* Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving, hotel management, or barista work is desirable
* Ability to handle customer complaints diplomatically and efficiently
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to food service environments

Hours & Availability
* Approximately 22 hours per week initially
* Monday to Friday - weekends (currently only holiday cover required for saturdays) we would like to eventually open on Sundays
* Additional hours available for private events when needed - we are looking for someone with flexibility
We are currently open Monday – Saturday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
We hope to expand with Sunday opening and increased private events/outside catering in the future, which may lead to increased hours. This can be discussed at interview stage.
