Senior Cyber Security Architect
We’re looking for a Senior Cyber Security Architect to join our growing team and play a key role in strengthening the security posture across our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to influence security strategy, lead engineering initiatives, and embed best‑in‑class practices across a global environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Cyber Security Architect, you will:
Security Architecture & Engineering
1. Develop and maintain cyber security standards, patterns, and secure design principles.
2. Represent Cyber at the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
3. Provide hands‑onsecurity engineering support across projects, with a strong focus on AWS cloud security.
4. Partner with development teams to promote secure coding and modern security practices.
Collaboration & Influence
5. Support the Cyber/Tech Risk function by challenging ideas and providing expert guidance.
6. Work closely with PMO teams to ensure projects are delivered securely and pragmatically.
7. Advise the Security Operations Centre (SOC) on detection capabilities and technical direction.
Operational & Leadership Responsibilities
8. Drive remediation activities across the organisation.
9. Provide transparentmetrics and reportingto Senior leadership.
10. Mentor junior members of the cyber team.
11. Offer technical cover for SOC operations when required.
12. Support the integration of cyber processes with wider risk management frameworks.
About You
You’ll bring a blend of practical experience, technical depth, and a pragmatic mindset. We’re looking for someone who has:
13. Hands-on AWS security experience (essential).
14. Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) (desirable).
15. experience working in financial services or other regulated environments (a plus).
16. Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident representing Cyber across a global organisation.
17. A problem-solving, business-enabling mindset with the ability to turn complex challenges into practical solutions.
18. experience mentoring or technically guiding others.
Qualifications
We welcome a mix of education and experience. Any of the following would be beneficial:
19. Degree, diploma, or equivalent professional experience.
20. TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks (desirable).
21. Security certifications such as: Security+, CCSP, CEH, GCIH, GMON, CASP, CISSP.
