Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter
Location: Mobile role covering sites between Teesside and Scunthorpe (accommodation provided where required)
Salary: £38,000–£40,000 per annum (depending on experience) + overtime
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (42 hours per week)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter to join our growing team. This is a field-based position covering multiple customer sites across the Teesside to Scunthorpe region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of a broad range of heavy plant machinery, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest safety and performance standards.
This role requires a self-motivated individual who is confident working independently while remaining closely connected to the wider operational team.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery including FLTs, MEWPs, tower lights and larger plant equipment
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with company schedules
* Attend breakdowns and carry out timely, effective repairs to minimise downtime
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations
* Represent the company professionally when working on client sites
Requirements
Essential
* Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or similar role
* Strong all-round knowledge of plant machinery and equipment
* Experience working on heavy dumpers, including CAT 771 and 775 models
* Experience working with CAT machinery
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Full UK driving licence

* Previous experience in a mobile or field-based engineering role
