Global Technology Data Librarian - Cyber & Technology Control Team
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join JPMorgan as a Global Technology Data Librarian within the Cyber and Technology Control Team. The role is open to Job sharing (part‑time hours shared between two people) for those who require flexibility. You will be responsible for managing, organizing, and safeguarding data assets to support risk management and cyber operations, enabling the use of AI tools for insights and proactive decision making.
Job Responsibilities
* Data cataloguing & organization – Determine a suitable inventory platform, implement metadata standards and classification schemes to ensure data is easily discoverable and usable.
* Data governance & compliance – Ensure data management practices comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
* Data quality & integrity – Monitor data quality, completeness, and accuracy and work with stakeholders to ensure all data generated by CTC teams is correctly catalogued and organized in the central repository.
* AI‑driven data insights – Collaborate with data scientists and cyber analysts to develop models and dashboards that inform strategic decisions and translate AI‑generated insights into actionable recommendations.
* Collaboration & training – Serve as a subject matter expert for data management within the cyber and technology control domain, providing training and guidance to team members on best practices.
* Process improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance data management and analytics processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, security, and value derived from data assets.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, Data Science, or related field.
* Experience in data management, cataloguing, or library science.
* Experience with data cataloguing tools, databases, and information management systems.
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
* Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to influence business leaders.
* Flexible and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong project time‑management skills to meet strict deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
* Experience in data management, cataloguing, or library science within a technology or cybersecurity environment.
* Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, public services, healthcare).
* Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
* Knowledge of cyber risk management and technology control frameworks.
Employment and Hiring Information
Job type: Part‑time (Jobshare) – 19 hours per week, full‑time powers.
