About The Opportunity
Are you an experienced HR generalist who thrives on variety? We're seeking an all-rounder who can touch on every part of the team, from employee relations to recruitment.
Join us at TES as a People and Culture Advisor on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You'll be a key player in providing expert people and culture advice and support to our TES Operational teams. Based in Colchester, this is a hybrid role requiring three days in the office each week.
As a People and Culture Advisor, you'll work with the team to:
* Employee Relations & Performance Management: Provide advice and guidance on employee relations and support management with probation reviews and performance management programs.
* Policy and Compliance: Assist in developing and updating company policies and procedures. You'll also maintain compliance with internal and external guidelines, including Network Rail and Sentinel database requirements.
* Data Management & Reporting: Ensure the accuracy of people data across all platforms, produce reports, and interpret key people information for stakeholders.
* Employee Engagement: Support the talent acquisition team with recruitment and retention strategies and produce formal correspondence such as offer letters and contracts.
* Health & Safety: Help ensure TES complies with all legal requirements and supports the implementation of our Health & Wellbeing Programmes. You'll also uphold TES policies and duty of care responsibilities toward employees and clients.

About You
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with at least three years of relevant HR generalist experience and a strong knowledge of employment legislation. You should be commercially aware, trustworthy, and able to apply common sense and logic to often delicate situations. You will thrive in a busy environment, with the ability to support each function within HR, including recruitment. You'll need excellent attention to detail and strong systems and data analysis skills to enable you to support the business with conviction.
Desirable skills:
* A CIPD Level 5 qualification.
* Experience in the rail industry.
* Strong systems and data analysis skills, including expertise in Excel functions like pivot tables and V-lookups.
