A world-renowned, multi‑billion AUM global macro hedge fund is seeking an exceptional Trading Assistant to join its high-performing London office. The firm trades a diverse range of sophisticated multi-asset strategies across Equities, Fixed Income/Rates, Credit, and Commodities, offering outstanding exposure to complex products, senior Portfolio Managers, and a true front-office environment from day one.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the trading desk through accurate trade capture, booking, and allocation across cash and derivative instruments.
* Monitor and reconcile positions, P&L, and risk exposures across multiple internal and external platforms.
* Investigate and resolve trade breaks and discrepancies, liaising closely with Operations, Prime Brokers, and external counterparties.
* Produce and enhance daily trade, risk, and P&L reports for Portfolio Managers and senior management.
* Assist with new product and market onboarding initiatives.
* Maintain and validate static and reference data, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
* Contribute to market commentary and ad‑hoc analysis, supporting trading decisions.
* Continuously identify and drive process improvements, including automation and workflow enhancements in collaboration with technology teams.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience as a Trading Assistant, Middle Office Analyst, or similar trade support professional within a leading hedge fund, asset manager, or tier‑one investment bank.
* Strong understanding of financial markets and macro products—with particular advantage if experienced in Fixed Income and derivatives.
* Comfortable operating in a high-pressure, front‑office setting; highly analytical, numerate, and detail-oriented with a disciplined approach to controls.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise, multitask, and take ownership of deliverables under tight deadlines.
* Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a genuine appetite to work closely with Portfolio Managers and gain deeper exposure to trading and risk-taking.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) from a Russell Group University or top international institution.
* At least AAA at A-level (or equivalent) academic achievement.
* Relevant front-office facing experience in a demanding, performance-driven environment is essential.
