Logistics Storeman
Location: Mansfield + Leeds (dual location)
Salary: Up to £30,000
We are working with a leading environmental consultancy and asbestos removal contractor, who are currently searching for a Logistics Storeman to support their Operations Department across Mansfield and Leeds. As a Logistics Storeman, you will play a key role in supporting the Operations Department across Mansfield and Leeds. You will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the operational yard, stores, plant, vehicles, and materials, ensuring everything runs efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, with a strong focus on organisation, compliance, and effective stock and resource management.
The Role:
* Managing stock and materials across both Mansfield and Leeds, ensuring availability and accurate control.
* Overseeing the smooth day-to-day operation of the operational yard, stores, plant, vehicles, and waste transfer station (where applicable).
* Supporting budgetary controls through effective stock management, purchasing planning, and cost awareness.
* Administering and negotiating purchasing contracts in line with company purchasing policies.
* Proactively liaising with operations and other departments to support resourcing, services, and operational requirements.
* Managing operational vehicles, including compliance, scheduling, and general upkeep.
* Taking overall responsibility for plant and machinery, including testing, maintenance coordination, and record keeping.
* Delivering plant and materials to sites as required to support operational delivery.
* Ensuring all activities are HSE compliant and carried out in line with CAR 2012 and company SOPs.
We are looking for:
* Prior relevant demonstrable experience in logistics, stores, yard, or operational support roles
* A full, clean UK driving licence, with confidence driving company vehicles and delivering plant/materials when required.
* Good IT skills, with experience using stock control systems, databases, or Microsoft Office packages.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing stock, plant, and documentation.
* The ability to work proactively in a fast-paced operational environment and liaise effectively with multiple departments.
* A strong awareness of health & safety requirements and compliance-led working practices.
