Locality Manager | 9016 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £43,822 to £48,227 per annum (Scale K) | Attleborough, Norfolk
Norfolk Library and Information Service have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our Locality Manager Team. The role is responsible for the efficient and effective management of several libraries in the Breckland and South Norfolk localities. You will lead operational and front-line services, engage local communities, motivate staff, supervise the continued expansion of our work with volunteers, and work within the Library Service objectives and budgets.
Responsibilities
* Lead operational and front-line services across multiple libraries in Breckland and South Norfolk.
* Engage local communities and motivate staff and volunteers.
* Work towards agreed outcomes and manage budgets as part of the Libraries Leadership Team.
* Be well-organised, customer focussed, and capable of working in an innovative, enthusiastic, and flexible way.
* Ensure compliance, maintain high standards, and exercise judicious decision-making within the library service procedures.
* Travel to other locations as required; working pattern includes Monday – Friday with evenings and occasional weekends.
Qualifications and Skills
* Well-organised with an eye for detail and compliance.
* Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn on the job.
* Ability to adapt to a changing work environment and handle challenge effectively.
* Experience or willingness to contribute as an active member of the Libraries Leadership Team.
