We deliver clinical trials of new tests and treatments for a range of neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease. We foster the rapid translation of research into practice (bench to bedside). As our new Head of Marketing and Communications you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Scottish Brain Sciences' marketing and communications strategy. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure that marketing and communications activities align with organisational priorities, contribute to growth, and strengthen Scottish Brain Sciences’ reputation as a leader in brain health innovation. This role can work from our sites in Aberdeen or Edinburgh. Some of what you’ll be doing: developing and implementing an integrated marketing and communications strategy to support organisational goals and drive participant recruitment, business development, and stakeholder engagement leading and managing all marketing, digital, and communications activity, ensuring consistency of brand, tone, and messaging across platforms and audiences overseeing the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Scottish Brain Sciences website(s) and digital presence planning and delivering business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing campaigns targeting diverse audiences within Scotland, across the UK, and internationally supporting fundraising initiatives by developing marketing strategies for crowdfunding, Kickstarter, and donor engagement campaigns developing and managing media relationships, preparing press releases, briefing materials, and acting as a point of contact for media enquiries. The skills, experience, and qualifications you’ll bring: substantial experience (typically five years or more) in a marketing and communications role demonstrable experience in developing and delivering integrated marketing strategies and campaigns to B2C and B2B audiences strong digital marketing expertise, including website management, SEO, social media strategy, and content creation experience supporting or leading fundraising and/or public engagement campaigns exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences proven ability to manage projects independently, with excellent organisational and time management skills experience of line management and a demonstrable commitment to supporting and developing colleagues creative, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to delivering results. Even better if you have experience have: CIM or CIPR certification experience in a start-up, scale-up, or SME environment experience of international marketing campaigns or brand expansion worked in the brain health, wider life sciences or higher education sectors experience in design, video editing, or digital content production.
