Tradewind are currently recruiting for a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Oldham on a full-time basis starting in September. This KS2 role is paid in line with MPS1-MPS6 and is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers looking to further develop their practice. You will take full responsibility for a Year 5 class at the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, with the possibility of extension. The school delivers a broad and stimulating curriculum designed to build confidence, independence, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. There is a strong emphasis on core subjects, alongside a commitment to supporting pupil's personal development and well being. The ideal candidate will have: Experience teaching within KS2 (Year 5 or Year 6), with a strong understanding of the national curriculum Knowledge of Read Write Inc. phonics, or a willingness to learn and confidently deliver the programme A nurturing and inclusive approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families Familiarity with schemes such as White Rose Maths and Oxford Reading Tree to support high-quality teaching and learning Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to contribute fully to school life Essential Requirements: QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification Enhanced DBS check and overseas police check if applicable Excellent references to support previous teaching.
