HR Business Partner Birmingham (Agile working) £39,000.00 to £41,500.00 per annum plus £3,500 car allowance 37.5 hours per week Permanent About the role As HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. You’ll partner with senior leaders and employee representatives to deliver strategic HR initiatives, lead complex ER casework, and embed practices that reflect Trident’s commitment to psychological safety, equity, and community empowerment. What you’ll be doing Lead complex ER cases, including tribunal-level matters Champion informal resolution frameworks to reduce formal grievances Coach managers on performance management, employment law, and conflict resolution Manage TUPE transfers and redundancy programmes with empathy and precision Lead transparent change communications during restructures Ensure compliance with UK employment law and global HR framework Develop and embed inclusive HR policies aligned with Trident’s trauma-informed approach Partner with Legal, Compliance, DEI, and operational leaders to ensure policy coherence Use people analytics to identify trends, inform strategy, and improve engagement, retention, and inclusion Collaborate with senior leaders to drive cultural transformation and workforce resilience Deliver training and coaching to managers on ER, change management, and inclusive leadership Mentor junior People Team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning Who we’re looking for? Skills & Experience Extensive experience in employee relations, TUPE, and redundancy management Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR compliance frameworks Proven ability to manage cases through to tribunal with legal insight Skilled in consultation processes and stakeholder engagement Experience writing scalable HR policies across diverse business units Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic action Public sector experience desirable CIPD Level 7 or equivalent (desirable) What You'll Bring Confidence and clarity in high-stakes conversations Strategic and pragmatic mindset rooted in ethical decision-making Passion for social justice and community-building through people-led leadership Ability to balance empathy and compliance while driving change Alignment with Trident’s core values Why join us?
