Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
This is a junior management position, who will assist the Maintenance Manager and other department managers in the day-to-day operational performance of the overall resort. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the resort.
Being both reactive and pro-active, the Maintenance Supervisor will assist in the running of the wider maintenance team, standing in for the Maintenance Manager in their absence in department meetings, along with allocating tasks to the relevant team members. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work with the Maintenance Manager in managing the physical infrastructure of the resort, along with ensuring health and safety compliance is met. You will coordinate various maintenance activities to uphold a high standard of service for guests and owners.
A driven and problem solving individual, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to:
Assist in managing the maintenance team which will include daily schedules, task allocation and prioritising workloads.
Taking accountability for maintenance issues as and when they arise, ensuring all maintenance is carried out quickly, efficiently and to a high standard.
To liaise fully with all departments with regards to maintenance.
Working with the Maintenance Manager and Operations Manager, you will ensure a regular preventative maintenance plan is followed and carried out within the specified timelines.
You will ensure all work carried out within the department is carried out safely without risk to health, in line with statutory and company policies.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
Working under the Maintenance Manager, you will coordinate maintenance team member's efforts to make sure our properties around the resort and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
Standing in for the Maintenance Manager in their absence, you will work with the Operations Manager to identify areas for improvement and assign team members to take care of issues and delegate tasks to meet our maintenance schedule.
Working with the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure all daily, weekly, monthly and all other mandatory checks are carried out within the specified time given.
Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues as and when they arise.
Carry out regular property checks to ensure all properties are within the standards required and follow up with any repairs required.
Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities via nightly reporting when required.
To be fully aware of and adhere to the health and safety regulations concerning your employment and promote a safe environment for yourself, your colleagues and our guests.
Working with the Maintenance Manager, you will ensure inventories of containers, equipment & relevant stock are accurately kept.
Liaise & Communicate with all departments on scheduled works and update them regularly on their progress.
Assist in managing the company vehicle fleet, including weekly compliance and checks, servicing and scheduling repairs.
