Our Private Client team is known for delivering clear, compassionate and technically strong advice to individuals and families across a broad range of personal legal matters. The team works closely with clients to provide tailored solutions, building long-term relationships based on trust and professionalism.
The Role
We are looking to appoint a Private Client Paralegal to support a busy and well-respected Private Client department. This role offers excellent exposure to high-quality private client work and the opportunity to develop your experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will work closely with solicitors on a varied caseload, assisting with the day-to-day management of matters while developing your technical knowledge and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting solicitors with a range of private client matters including Wills, Probate and Estate Administration.
* Drafting straightforward legal documents and correspondence under supervision.
* Preparing probate applications and supporting documentation.
* Liaising with clients in a professional and empathetic manner, both in person and via telephone and email.
* Communicating with third parties such as HMRC, Probate Registries, financial institutions and other professional advisers.
* Managing files in accordance with regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
* Maintaining accurate records, file notes and case management systems.
* Providing general administrative support to the Private Client team as required.
About You
* Previous experience working as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant within a Private Client team (or strong interest in private client law).
* A good understanding of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration processes, or the desire to develop expertise in this area.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills and a confident, client-focused approach.
* High attention to detail and a professional attitude.
* A proactive team player who is keen to learn and progress.
