Ward Manager – Days Only Monday to Friday | Palliative Care
£50,000 DOE + Enhancements + NHS Pension & Additional Company Benefits

Are you an experienced nurse leader within hospital ward environments?
Do you have experience and/ or a passion for providing empathetic and meaningful end of life care?
This charity funded and beautiful hospice, located in Leeds, are currently in search for a Ward Manager to lead a compassionate team of nurses and support staff in their mission to provide outstanding care to palliative patients and their families.
You will be supporting patients with life-limiting / terminal illnesses, but this role is much more than that! During your time here, you will be involved in wedding planning, therapy animal days and much more!
This is a rewarding, challenging and varied role. The team consists of 20 nurses and 15 HCAs and bank staff and you will be responsible for overseeing CQC readiness, in addition to overseeing the day to day running of the inpatient unit.
Working Hours:
Mainly Monday to Friday days only – some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the ward

What can you bring?
* Ideally a band 7+ experience within hospital environments, but open to band 6 with great clinical and leadership experience.
* Palliative experience is desirable but not essential – you do not need hospice experience
* Considerable knowledge and experience with CQC
* Experience leading a team
* Empathetic approach with great communication skills
