What you will be doing:
Ability to motivate, train and supervise junior members of the team
High standards of cleanliness, stock control, and task prioritisation.
Have a thorough understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen including COSHH and HACCP
Ensure all legal responsibilities within the kitchen department are adhered to, especially with reference to: Food hygiene, food sampling, temperature logs, final cooking temperatures, Weights & measures, Health & safety, Fire precautions
Create strong relationships with other departments in the hotel to create a consistent guest experience, whilst trying to ensure maximised revenue results
Have a passion for fresh food and good attention to detail
Have the confidence to create and be innovative
Understands different cooking practices
Be able to listen intently and pass on knowledge to junior chefs
Is motivated and hardworking attitude
Confident working in a busy kitchen
Knowledge in stock rotation
