Job Summary:
CNC Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our client in Exeter area - a global leader in the military sector. The ideal candidate will have experience with power tools, hand tools, welding techniques, and mechanical knowledge. This position involves fabricating and welding various metal components.
Responsibilities:
- To follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings relating to the welding and fabrication of component parts and large assemblies. This will include but not limited to, use of Mig/Tig, plasma profiler, guillotine and press brake.
- To ensure the scope and timing of assigned tasks are understood, completed as per requirements and in accordance with relevant working procedures.
- To ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Maintain all tools and equipment in a clean and usable state; return tools and equipment to appropriate storage area(s) when not being used. Report defects or damage to the fabrication manager.
- To work in accordance with current quality procedures and advise any errors or variances to appropriate manager.
- Experience in a fabrication workshop
Personal specification:
- Experience in a fabrication workshop Codification or equivalent qualification in
- Codification or equivalent qualification in welding (MIGITIG)
- NVQ Level 3 and or over 2 years equivalent experience and able to pass an internal weld test
