About the role
We are seeking a self-starting, well-organized Mechanical Project Manager with strong management skills who can anticipate issues and develop effective contingency plans. Leo Lynch is committed to delivering with integrity and excellence, earning the trust of our clients and employees.
Responsibilities
1. Manage all aspects of selected projects, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling from inception to completion.
2. Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure project specifications are met and delivery is on time and within budget.
3. Use Leo Lynch systems to track and monitor project progress, ensuring team compliance.
4. Ensure effective collaboration among all project disciplines and resolve departmental issues as they arise (BIM, Engineering, QA, Procurement).
5. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure safety and quality standards.
6. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors; negotiate contracts and agreements.
7. Manage financial aspects, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes, and safety regulations.
9. Implement monitoring structures for budget and expenditure control.
10. Apply cost and value procedures; produce accurate and timely commercial reports for senior management.
11. Collaborate with Directors and Site Managers to strategize, identify risks, and resolve issues.
12. Issue weekly progress reports to clients and engineering managers.
13. Provide monthly progress reports to senior management and directors.
14. Work with leadership to meet business objectives.
15. Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external clients.
Candidate requirements
1. A mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience as a Project or Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry, with prior experience as a project engineer.
3. Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Process systems, including design, installation, and operation.
4. Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
7. Willingness to travel within Europe occasionally.
