We are working in partnership with a leadingpany in structural steel design, fabrication, painting, and erection operating across various sectors in the UK. They are seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer to join their team in Northern Ireland.Some of their projects include data centres, education, military,mercial, industrial, infrastructure, and retail. They have be a significant player in the structural engineering industry, serving the UK and Ireland. Thepany uses innovative approaches and state-of-the-art robotic equipment to provide tailored services from tender to site erection. Your new role

As a Chartered Structural Engineer, you will design and develop steel frames for industrial andmercial buildings, from start to finish.
You will review designs, work with customers to understand their needs, manage engineering teams, and find cost-effective solutions.Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and develop steel frame designs that meet standards and customer needs.
2. Perform structural analysis to ensure safety and stability.
3. Review and certify design calculations and drawings.
4. Solveplex structural challenges.
5. Meet with clients to gather project requirements and provide technical advice and solutions.
6. Review and approve engineering proposals.
7. Ensure designsply with standards and regulations.
8. Work with project managers and customers to implement cost-effective solutions.
9. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and consultants to meet design requirements and deadlines.
10. Manage engineering teams to deliver design packages on time.
11. Manage relationships with external design consultants.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in the Chartered Structural Engineering role, a candidate must be a Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng MIStructE) or Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE) with over 10 years of experience, including 5 years in structural steel design, is required. The candidate should have extensive experience in structural steel design for industrial andmercial buildings, with a proven track record in deliveringplex steel design solutions. They must be skilled in reviewing and optimising designs, and have experience in customer-facing roles, providing technical advice, and ensuring client satisfaction. The candidate should possess advanced knowledge of structural steel design and fabrication processes, including industry codes and standards like Eurocodes and AISC. Proficiency with structural design software such as STAAD and Tekla, and familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit, is required.Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach. The candidate must be capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
