Join our Living Places team as a Structures Maintenance Engineer and you'll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work. Working on an existing Highway Maintenance Contract, repairing and maintaining critical systems that fall under the structures and Signals/ITS teams control. What you'll be doing As a Structures Maintenance Engineer, you will have the following accountabilities: Undertake routine maintenance of Specialist Electrical systems across contract Undertake reactive maintenance including fault finding and repair Carry out electrical safety inspections Ensure full compliance with the Highway Electrical Association competency scheme, T&Cs and Code of Conduct At all times proactively engage with and adhere to company procedures with regards to health, safety and quality and where applicable to ensure all team members do likewise Ensure that all plant, equipment, and electrical systems are regularly inspected, and that all defects are reported to the person responsible for the workplace and a record is maintained Emergency call outs. Who we're looking for You will have the following: Ability to work well on own or in small team Trustworthy and reliable Full Driving Licence Be willing to attend sites at short notice in emergencies IPAF 1b/3a Harness and Fall Arrest training; ECS Card Electrician City & Guilds Electrical installation Level 3 Holder of SMSTS or other Health and Safety related qualification City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Test or equivalent Experience working with Hydraulic systems an advantage.
