This Position reports to: Analytical Production Supervisor.
Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
* Work model: Onsite
* Lead and develop a team of operatives to deliver production KPIs and maintain high standards
* Oversee pre-start checks, machinery setup, and day-to-day operation
* Monitor team performance, coach and support staff, and maintain up-to-date training records
* Plan labour and resource allocation in line with short- and medium-term production forecasts
* Collaborate with engineering, quality and planning teams to drive continuous improvement and machine reliability
* Identify and address underperformance quickly and professionally
* Act as the go-to person on shift for troubleshooting issues, resolving bottlenecks and escalating where required
* Always ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies. Investigating accidents or near misses, encourage risk reporting, and uphold safety-first culture
Qualifications For The Role
* Proven experience leading teams in a production environment
* Hands-on experience operating or overseeing production equipment such as soldering irons, test rigs & fault test units
* Health & Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely)
* High level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Good knowledge of SAP ERP system (preferred)
* Excellent numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
* Strong problem-solving mindset and the confidence to make decisions in a fast-moving environment
* Comfortable leading by example on the shop floor and upholding standards
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is beneficial
