Learning Assistant (Fixed Term)

£17,685.57 - £18,777.80
We are seeking to appoint capable and enthusiastic Learning Assistants with the desired personal qualities and skills to join the staff team within the Sanquhar Academy Cluster based at Sanquhar Primary School. You will be required to support pupils with additional support needs to overcome barriers to their learning and reach their full potential.
You will work 27.5 hours per week over 39 weeks per year. This is a fixed-term post up to 18/08/2026. The position may be suitable for secondment; agreement from your line manager must be obtained before applying.
The successful candidates must be educated to SCQF Level 4 (e.g., Standard Grade General, National 4) or equivalent, including Numeracy and Literacy, and have experience working with children and/or young people. A willingness to undertake training is required.
Experience of working with children/young people with additional support needs and a visit to the Primary Inclusion Hub prior to application would be advantageous. A willingness to undertake training will be required.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
