Location: Woolton, Liverpool (L25)
Salary: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for permanent)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Woolton seeking a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. About the Role
You will provide tailored support to pupils in Year 1 with special educational needs, including autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
* Assist with classroom activities and adapt resources to meet individual needs
* Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Monitor and record progress, reporting to the SENCO and class teacher
* Promote independence and inclusion within the classroom

Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience supporting children with SEND in an educational or care setting
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for helping children thrive
* Strong communication skills with pupils, staff, and parents
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential)
