Daytime Healthcare are assisting a great SEN School to recruit for permanent Teaching Assistants to join them on a permanent Team Time only basis.
Supporting their students can sometimes be challenging. They may get frustrated, anxious and emotional and you will need to guide them through it by helping them to manage their feelings and behaviour. You will have the ongoing support of a skilled and dedicated team. Comprehensive training and mentoring includes learning about safeguarding, autism and positive behaviour support.
Physical and mental resilience are essential qualities for all their staff along with a “can do” attitude. You must be prepared to provide personal care for some of our students who require assistance to stay clean and comfortable (full training will be given).
Full training is provided and you should have passed GCSE`s in English & Mathematics to be considered as a minimum. There are also opportunities for experienced Teaching Assistants.
School hours are 36 per week: Monday 08.30-16.00, Tuesday - Thursday 08.30 – 16.15 and Friday 08.30 – 15.45 plus thirty minutes admin time. We cannot accommodate reduced working hours per day but can accommodate less than 5 days per week
Teaching Assistant actual salary pro rata is £20,224 - £21,032 for 39 weeks, term time plus CPD days (£23,580 - £24,521 FTE based on 36 hours over 52 weeks), rising to pro rata £21,851 - £23,999 (£25,476 - £27,981 FTE based on 36 hours over 52 weeks) for a Senior Teaching Assistant after completing the TA apprenticeship (paid for by us) and 2 years with the School
