About the Company: Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard Victory Signs (Newcastle) Ltd is an established company of 25 years based in Cramlington in the North East of England. Victory Signs has gained the reputation of being one of the leading engraving and sign manufacturers in the UK and has steadily built up a reputation for quality workmanship and expertise in all aspects of the engraving and sign manufacturing business We are currently seeking one Mechanical Engineering Apprentice Working week: Monday to Thursday: 08.30 - 17.00 Friday: 08.30 – 12.30 Expected apprenticeship duration: 18 Months Planned start date: ASAP Apprenticeship level: Level 2 What does the Mechanical Engineer job role involve? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Machine Engraver to join our skilled engraving team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in precision engraving and manufacturing. You will work closely with experienced engravers to learn the technical skills required to operate engraving machinery and produce high-quality engraved items. What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end? As well as gaining a broad range of professional knowledge and experience, you will gain a Level 2 vocational qualification, the Level 2 diploma in engineering operations and a Level 2 certificate in engineering operations. What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship? You could continue to develop your career by choosing to obtain further qualifications, develop and improve your management and leadership skills or even move across the different areas of the business to pursue a career in your chosen field. Mechanical Engineer - Desired skills: * Good customer service and communication skills * Able to work closely with colleagues and clients * Keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail * Works well under pressure Mechanical Engineer - Qualifications: Applicants must have 4 x GCSE (at A-C) or equivalent, including Maths, English and preferably a Science subject.
