We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Sales & Events Assistant to join the team on either a full time or part time basis working 4 or 5 days a week.
This position has two main elements:
1. Sales & Servicing for Jobs South West, our job search website
2. Sales & Support for Job Fairs South West, our recruitment events,
You will play a key role in helping employers promote their vacancies on our website while also supporting the organisation and smooth delivery of our face-to-face job fair events across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Job Adverts (Sales & Servicing)
* Proactively sell job advert space on our job search website
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing employers
* Provide after-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction
* Assist customers with advert setup, optimisation and queries
* Ensure all adverts meet quality and compliance standards
* Sharing ads to social media platforms for an extra boost
Job Fair Events
* Sell exhibitor spaces for our job fair events to new and existing clients.
* Help with pre-event marketing
* Provide excellent customer service to exhibitors before, during and after events (phone, email and in-person)
* Assist with event preparation, administration and logistics as well as event management
* Support the setup of event venues, including signage, exhibitor areas and registration points
* Welcome and check in exhibitors & job hunters on the day (“meet and greet”)
* Assist with end-of-day duties and pack-down
* Travel to event locations as required (including occasional overnight stays)
* Assist job hunters with any queries and offer help where appropriate
About You
We’re looking for a people-person, someone who enjoys listening & talking to people and delivering great service. If you’re a confident communicator who’s happy chatting on the phone or meeting people face-to-face, you’ll fit right in.
You’re the kind of person who likes being organised, can juggle a few tasks at once, and shows up reliably with a positive, “let’s get it done” attitude.
Some experience in sales would be a bonus, but it’s absolutely not a must — we’ll give you all the training you need.
Because our events take place in different locations, you’ll need to be comfortable travelling (including the occasional early start and/or an overnight stay). A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. Events take place in Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and BANES.
You should also feel confident using a computer — nothing too technical, just everyday tools and systems.
