Quantitative Data Engineer Our client is a leading Hedge Fund headquartered in London and is seeking a Quantitative Data Engineer to join their Front Office technologies team. The firms team integrates innovative technology and trading strategies, while utilizing a sophisticated research platform and development environment to realise consistent trading alphas.As a Quant Data Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with various departments within the organization and Your primary responsibility will involve constructing and maintaining data ingestion processes of varying complexity that drive investment decisions and support critical operations.In this dynamic role, you'll also be involved in developing and managing the platforms, tools, and systems essential for running and monitoring these processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy direct interaction with business stakeholders, and excel at delivering results under pressure.Responsibilities:Analyzing data, identifying features and issues, and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders.Constructing robust data ingestion pipelines, platforms, and systems for easy support and maintenance.Deploy, automate, and monitor systems for global trade management and post trade analysis.Develop python tooling and environments for all all front office teams. Establishing and promoting standard methodologies for data ingestion, including developing tools and libraries for use across the organization.Ensuring the efficiency, reliability, scalability, and flexibility of systems to meet evolving business needs.Providing support, monitoring, and enhancements to existing systems and ingestion pipelines.Requirements:Proven experience working with Python or Java or C#Experience working with ELT/ELT technologies such as Airflow, Argo, Dagster, Spark, HiveStrong technical expertise, especially in data processing and exploration, with a willingness to learn new technologies.A passion for automation and driving continual improvement, demonstrated by a history of identifying and implementing automation opportunities.Experience working with a variety of data storage and manipulation tools such as SQL, Pandas, Elasticsearch & Kibana, Snowflake.
