One of our partner secondary schools in Pentre (CF41), Rhondda Cynon Taf, is looking for a full-time Behaviour Support Worker to join their team and provide essential support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.

About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Worker in a secondary school, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural difficulties, Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs
• Work closely with class teachers, the ALNCo, and pastoral staff to implement tailored behaviour plans
• Support pupils both in and out of the classroom to regulate their emotions and re-engage with learning
• Help de-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Encourage positive decision-making and support students’ personal and academic development

Who We’re Looking For:
Ideal candidates will:
• Be passionate about supporting young people with behavioural or social/emotional needs
• Remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging behaviour
• Be confident in building strong, respectful relationships with teenagers
• Have experience in education, youth work, mentoring, or similar roles (desirable but not essential)

• Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
• Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service)
• Two professional references from the last two years
