Head of Finance – UK
Reporting to: UK CEO, dotted line to Group CFO (International HQ)
A dynamic and fast-growing technology company is seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance to lead the UK finance function. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone looking to progress into a Finance Director position within 1–2 years.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the UK entity
* Provide strategic insight to guide decision-making and boost performance
* Manage and develop a high-performing finance team
* Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
* Handle all UK tax obligations (VAT, PAYE, corporation tax)
* Own the year-end process and reporting to group finance
* Coordinate external audits and statutory accounts
* Ensure reporting aligns with UK GAAP and group standards
* Act as a finance partner to UK leadership and collaborate with international teams
* Drive improvements in financial processes and systems
* Maintain robust controls and support risk governance
What We're Looking For
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
* 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance position
* Experience in SaaS, tech, or professional services preferred
* Proven team management and development experience
* Strong commercial and analytical skills
* Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* International business experience is a plus
